Buying, selling or renting a home involves large sums of money, and criminals target property transactions. Please read this short notice — it could protect you from fraud.
We will never email, text or call you to say our bank account details have changed. If you receive any message claiming they have, treat it as fraud. Always confirm bank details by calling us directly on 0203 583 1311 before sending money — and use the number you already know, not one given in the message.
Before transferring funds to us, your solicitor, or anyone else in your transaction, phone them on a trusted number to confirm the details are genuine. Criminals often intercept emails and swap in their own account details.
We will never ask for your full banking password, PIN, or one-time security codes. Anyone who does is not us.
Be cautious of unexpected emails or messages asking you to click a link, log in, or share personal or financial details — even if they appear to come from us. If something feels off, don’t click. Call us and check.
Contact your bank immediately, then report it to Action Fraud at actionfraud.police.uk or 0300 123 2040. You can also call us on 0203 583 1311 and we’ll help however we can.
Your security matters to us as much as your move does.
